Make some money! Direct an MSVBA tournament!

Are you interested in making a few bucks while helping MSVBA hold tournaments?

MSVBA has adopted a policy to COMPENSATE individuals who help make our tournaments happen! Obviously the Tournament Coordinator position is filled this season (thanks, Erica) but if you are interested in being a Tournament Director at an upcoming event, reach out to Erica to let her know of your interest! Who is eligible?

The roles of Tournament Coordinator and Tournament Director are each eligible for compensation.

What’s the pay?

Compensation* is based on the number of teams registered for a given tournament, where each team = $5.

• Directing a 5-team tournament would earn you $25
• Directing a 10-team tournament would earn you $50

*Not to exceed a $550 cap for tax purposes

What’s involved?

Tournament Director will handle all day-of responsibilities, including:

• Tournament set up (see tournament check list)
• Ensuring the score tables have adequate paperwork
• Ensuring player memberships are completed (Registrar will appoint someone to check memberships day-of)
• Conducting the Captains meeting
• Keeping track of wins/losses and scores and determining play-off seeding
• Filling out any incident reports
• Facility clean up (get people to help you!)
• Ensuring the supplies bin gets back to the Tournament Coordinator.
