02/25/2023 – Lewiston Armory – RCO 4s- CANCELED.

MSVBA will be hosting a RCO 4s Tournament with the following levels: C, C+ and B at the Lewiston Armory.

The venue address is: 65 Central Ave, Lewiston, ME 04240

Registration opens at 8:30 am
Captain’s meeting 8:45 am
1st Match warm-ups 8:53 am
1st Match begins at 9:00 am

This format is 4 vs 4 with two men and two women on the court.  Here are the additional rules for clarification.

Team Point Caps: 

RCO C = 14 points
RCO C+ = 18 points
RCO B = 26 points

For purposes of calculating individual and team ratings, each rating level will have a numerical equivalent: A = 9, A- = 8, B+ = 7, B = 6, B- = 5, C+ = 4, C = 3, C- = 2, D = 1.

Pool play is 2 sets to 25 (start at 4-4) against every team. The top 4 teams make playoffs.

Play-off Schedule (Rankings based upon seeding):

Game 1 = Team 1 vs Team 4 with Team 5 working
Game 2 = Team 2 vs Team 3 with Loser of Game 1 working

Playoffs are best of 3, 2 to 25 (start at 4-4), and the 3rd set to 15 (start at 0-0) if Semis begin at or before 4:00 pm, and finals at or before 5:00 pm. The match will be 1 set to 25 (start at 0-0) if it begins after those deadlines.

The cost of this tournament is $100.00. To register, please pay online via PayPal. Please note that you do not need a PayPal account in order to register. You may checkout as a guest if you prefer.

We will be treating all PayPal payments received within 48 hours of the tournament posting as equal payments. If we receive more payments than the allotted number of tournament spots in that timeframe, the teams will be picked at random. Any payments received thereafter will be on a first-come, first-serve basis as space allows.
